Iran-Kuwait Determined to Upgrade Bilateral Ties

TEHRAN Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad as-Sabah on Monday underscored that his country is determined to broaden ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all possible fields. He made the remark in a meeting with visiting Iranian Majlis Speaker Hojjatoleslam Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri in Kuwait City. The Kuwaiti emir underlined that exchange of officials between the two countries would certainly pave the way for expansion of Tehran-Kuwait City cooperation in the future.
Referring to Iran's success in holding the 8th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), the Kuwaiti emir noted that the 8th OIC Summit was a great success for the Islamic Republic of Iran. He expressed hope to pay a visit to Iran in the near future, adding that his country would spare no effort to remove all the obstacles existing in the way of promotion of ties between Iran and Kuwait. The Iranian Majlis speaker, for his part, expressed satisfaction over the growing trend of relations between Iran and Kuwait and emphasized on the necessity of multi-faceted cooperation among all regional countries.
Nateq Nouri also stressed on further unity and solidarity among regional countries, saying that they should get more united to confront the bullying policies of the Zionist regime in the region.
